Audiences were first introduced to attorney and author Joshua Safran in the 2011 documentary, Crime After Crime, chronicling his seven-year struggle to free a battered woman from prison. The courtroom story profiled the strength Mr. Safran drew from his faith as an Orthodox Jew. In Free Spirit, Mr. Safran shows the darker side of the “Age of Aquarius.” His story reveals how he overcame adversity, reconnected to his Jewish heritage, and became a lawyer. Joshua Safran has been described as one of the next generation's most inspired spiritual leaders.
